Programs

What We Do

The purpose of this group is to make great music by teaching young percussionists ages 8-18 to read music on both snare drum and mallet instruments.  We train our students to be all around great musicians, not just specialists on one percussion instrument.

Our season starts in September and goes through May and is divided into fall and spring terms.  Classes are organized based on skill, experience, and age, so students have the opportunity to rehearse in small groups.  At the end of each term, the whole ensemble will perform together in the winter and spring concerts.  The repertoire includes full orchestral pieces from classical to modern popular music, all specially arranged for percussion ensembles by Mr. Lemmon.

In addition to our winter and spring concerts, we perform at venues all around the Bay Area to spread percussion joy to our community.  Check out our upcoming events.

Enrollment for the fall term is in September, and spring term enrollment is in January.  Please contact us if you would like to observe an open rehearsal.  We would love to show you what we do.
